Transport to Europe

Custom made trailer by Robert Baslee

We have used a company called Allison Shipping which provided us a perfect support for the project. They arranged road transport from Holden, Missouri to New York, where the container was put on the vessel YM Hiroshima which was bound for Antwerp in Belgium.

Many different ways of transport are available to bring an aircraft over from the US to Europe. After some research we have elected to transport the aircraft on a container ship. So we have built a custom made trailer. The idea being to put the aircraft on the trailer and the trailer into a container.

YM Hiroshima

The aircraft arrived in the port of Antwerp, Belgium and was trailered back to Luxembourg. Initially we took it to Doncourt les Conflans in France where we had the support of the Ailes Anciennes de Lorraine.
