Preparing the crossing

The aircraft arrived in Doncourt-les-conflans and was put together again. Precious help was received by the Ailes Anciennes de Lorraine and the Para Club who allowed the Bleriot to be parked in their hangar.

Bleriot re-assembling in France

The airdrome of Doncourt is perfect for test flying. It has a long grass runway and there are lots of fields around it to permit emergency landings if required. Preparation flights for the Channel Crossing were done at this filed.

The Bleriot also made its first european public appearance during the Open Days at this airfield.
